Topic 12: BEGGARS

The are many people begging for money in modern cities and towns: Hanoi, HCM city...They seem to have no food to eat, no where to stay, no happiness to enjoy and even look so misserable and so on.
People who see them give some coins without sympathy. Some people do nothing or even throw look at them with a dispising thought: “What is the hell these bastards are doing?”
How do you think about begging? Let’s visit BachKhoa English Club and talk about the topic “Beggars” in this Thursday afternoon.
I. WARMING-UP

Introduce yourself and enjoy some game with awards ahead.

II. DISCUSSING IN GROUPS:

1. Have you often seen beggars? Where? When? How have they looked like & behaved? What have you done to them?
2. People say "Nothing comes from nothing". So, List as many reasons as you can (even the most impossible one) to answer Why a person become a beggar.
3. Would you fell bothered if a beggar beg you for money? More extending: What are the influences of beggars on other people and our society (containing the security, the peace and the face of towns and cities)?
4. Should the government ban the begging? Why (or why not)? Take out the solutions to help beggars if they weren’t allowed by the law to beg other people.
